Urban-architectural vision

The General organisation of the masterplan and urban arrangement is based on minimising walking distances and enhanced connectivity with different mode of transport, and energy efficiency while maintaining a green outlook for the masterplan.

The plan to redevelop the old station building and surrounding is an effort to reconnect it to the city. Our design philosophy “form follows flow” proposal and vision aims to unite and regenerate the urban life in this part of the city. Starting with a single “floating roof” shaped by the “flow of people and public life” linked with a Green bridge connecting both sides of the track that will integrate new public programs into the site. A continuous thin timber sheet roof, gently lifted at its four corners above the track, wrapping the rail infrastructure in multiple layers of public program and urban spaces.

Our design combines the typology of the central forecourt, the surrounding traffic road, and the PT Terminal into one shared open space.
